Bourguignon! A Tribute to Julia Child

Ready for fall comfort food? Don’t eat beef? Guess what, you can still have Bourguignon! It’s delicious with buffalo or venison, a recipe in my new cookbook, No Wheat No Dairy No Problem(see Orders page)!

And, it can be made in about 2 hours, great to prepare on the weekend for week night dinner. Just don’t fall asleep like Julie, from Julie and Julia!! Don’t wait for a rainy night to enjoy this comforting, rich, thick, mouth-watering dish.

The red wine, sherry and ruby port all add a depth of flavor that is hard to resist. It is thickened with potato flour or oat flour for those that are avoiding white/wheat flour. Serve with mashed potatoes. See Recipe of the Week and enjoy!

The  first class assignment in culinary school I received was to research and write a report about Julia Child! I was so surprised at how fascinating her life was and that she worked for the government. I did see the film, Julie and Julia and I had so many things in common with both of them…from my culinary school experiences, blogging and paying to self publish like Irma! I loved the film and will watch it many more times and laugh out loud. Now, I’m just waiting for all the phone calls!
